  1. Of the 105 children in 5th grade, 4/5 went to school picnic. How many students went to school picnic in all?
  2. Naman has 96 sweets in a bag. He keeps 2/4 of them for himself and shares the rest with friends. How many sweets will he give to his friends?
  3. A baker is making cakes for a big party. She uses 1/4 cup of oil for each cake. How many cakes can she make if she has a bottle of oil that has 15 cups in it?
  4. There was a bowl with 180 candies in it. Naman, Vihan, and Duggu the bowl. Naman ate 2/12 of the candies, Vihan ate 3/12 and Duggu ate 5/12 of the candies. How many candies were left?
  5. To bake a loaf bread requires 2/5 kilograms of flour. How many loaves of bread can a baker make if he has 40 kilograms of flour?
  6. The city park is 8 3/5 km from school. The city stadium is 4 3/10 km from the same school. How much farther from the school is the park than the stadium?
  7. There are 7/8 kilograms of salt in the kitchen. Mrs. Singh used 2/15 of the salt when she was preparing dinner. How much salt did she use?
  8. Naman decided to run every day to keep himself healthy. He ended up running 4/5 of a kilometer every day. How much did he run in a week?
  9. It takes Olivia one minute to swim 1/60 of a kilometer. How far can she swim in 12 minutes?
  10. A 2-liter pitcher of juice was poured into 8 cups. How much juice was in each cup?
  11. Mrs. Singh used 1/2 pound of peppers and 1/15 pound of cheese to make 3 pizzas. If she uses the same recipe to make 5 pizzas, how much cheese is needed?
  12. An auto shop installed a new automatic system to do paint jobs for cars. The system can paint 6 cars in 1/4 hour. How long does it take to paint one car?
  13. A drum full of rice weighs 6 2/3 kg. If the empty drum weighs 2 1/2 kg. Find the weight of rice in the drum?
  14. Vihan was very thirsty and drank 2 glasses of water. There was 3/7 liter of water in the 1st glass and 3/8 liter In the 2nd glass. How much water did Vihan drink altogether?
  15. Mother bought 3 1/6 kg of sugar. She used 2 1/4 kg while baking cookies. How much sugar did she have left?
  16. A pizza has a mass of 1 1/5 kg. A cake has a mass of 1,300 grams. Which is heavier, the pizza or the cake?
