✅ ANSWER KEY – SET 2
I. Choose the correct option
- (a) 0.0932
- (b) Less than both numbers
- (d) 0.063
- (a) 15 km
- (b) 48
II. Solve the following
0.48 × 25 = 12 kg
Product is greater than both numbers (25 > 1, so product increases).
200 g = 0.2 kg
350 g = 0.35 kg
150 g = 0.15 kg
Total weight = 0.2 + 0.35 + 0.15 = 0.7 kg
Total cost = 0.7 × 220 = ₹154
(a) 5.8 × 0.85 = 4.93 km
(b) 4.93 is less than 5.8 but greater than 0.85
(c) One number is greater than 1 and the other is less than 1, so product lies between them.
Diesel = 5 × 91.85 = ₹459.25
Oil = 2 × 135.60 = ₹271.20
Total = 459.25 + 271.20 = ₹730.45
4.68 ÷ 12 = 0.39
Area = 9.4 × 2.8 = 26.32 sq. m
Number of sides = 33.6 ÷ 4.2 = 8 sides
III. Case Study
(a) 0.65 × 72 = 46.8 calories
(b) 39 ÷ 0.65 = 60 kg
(c) 1250.75 × 3 = ₹3752.25
(d) 4000 − 3752.25 = ₹247.75
(e) 1250.75 × 8 = ₹10006.00
